The gov is so freaking huge now that someone will mention yet another new department and say "the money comes from them, not taxpayer dollars". Sooner or later I fear the "gimme free stuff" population will control the balloty box and at that point we are screwed permanently.

Kind of like Dennis Miller was saying last night - the poor schmuck making $45K/year working his butt off would be smart to just quit the job and make $40K/yr off the gov dole.
