    Default CCW question

I have owned and operated firearms for many years now. I must admit I havent given much thought to a CCW permit until recently. Currently waiting for a call from good ole Jeffco to get one. Anywayz, I am curious........how many of you have had to make a trip or two to the vehicle to store a firearm realizing that where you have ended up isnt concealed friendly? I got to thinking about it because on any given weekend my wife has us running all over the world doing errands. I am thinking I cant realistically anticipate or know if an establishment allows firearms on their property. I see myself pulling up and parking somewhere, walking up to the door, seeing a sign that says no firearms allowed or something and having to walk back to the truck to store it. Maybe multiple times a day. I do try and respect the law and all.
My determination to not strike the first blow, but also to not stand mute and allow myself, and all that I believe in and stand for, to be trampled by men who would deprive me of my God-given, or natural right to suit my own end.

    Concealed means concealed.

I've never seen one of those signs except the post office and other federal buildings and the court house etc... And I usually know going in one of those before I get out the car. Never see them in gas stations, napa, resturants, or the mall etc..

Some might not like this, but to be honest, the only places I leave my gun behind is the post office (Federal Buildings) or my kids school. If some store doesn't want me in there because I'm carrying and they happen to see that I am somehow, they can ask me to leave. Hasn't happened once in 7 years.

And I really don't see "No Firearms" signs anywhere, but that might be because I'm not really looking.

I'm with GilpinGuy. If the property owner somehow finds out and doesn't approve they can ask me to leave their property and I will comply to avoid trespassing charges, however I will NOT set aside my 2A rights simply because of a sign that says the business owners don't support them.

    Not me.
I respect their private property policy.
If they dont want ccw, I leave it inside my vehicle.

Of course, most likely I would not go back to that place for business. There are tons of 2a friendly business that are substitute.

It's not breaking the law unless it is Federal property.

The only place I don't carry is when boarding an airplane... no exceptions, period.

To follow up on that, If you find yourself stareing at a "no weapons" sign, do your business elsewhere.

While I don't have one myself yet ( for many of the same reasons your worried about )

I'm starting more and more to have the attitude of guys like gilpin ..

Concealed is concealed. what they don't know wont hurt you or them .

if you some how get caught
my understanding of the law is the most they can do to you ( Outside of a k-12 school, a federal building or an airport) Is issue a trespass citation or warning. ( Isn't colorado wonderful?)

And again the way I understand the law no matter how many of those you get it can't deny you for a renewal. ( not a felony)( again.. isn't this state awesome?)

If they don't allow CCW then don't go there again if you can help it.

If I see a sign they don't get my business but honestly I don't think to look for signs. They are always welcome to ask me to leave and I am happy to do so without incident. I won't be disarmed by another's ignorance or intolerance.
