Ruger, much to my surprise didn't hesitate to issue me an RA number, they said they wanted the firearm to function perfectly so it's now back at their shop.
Just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with this weapon.
Let me help you out, I will give you a nice crisp 100 dollar bill for your ruger hahaha

Search around YouTube and you'll find videos of the problem. Seems that Ruger has a bit of work left to do...

I could never figure out why they decided to pin the quad rail foreend on. But having heard several folks having issues with them, I'll content myself with one of their Gunsite scouts...eventually.

That was my thought ... I'll stick with DI AR's thankyouverymuch.

But good for Ruger, standing behind the gun like that. I've never been a huge fan of Ruger's guns in general but good customer service does make their pieces look more attractive.

Yup, after about 5500 flawless rounds, carrier tilt ate the buffer retaining pin, which got caught up in the trigger.
7 days passed from my first e-mail to Ruger, and my baby being returned to me.
Looks like a heavier buffer tube was used to make the repair.

I got several e-mails AND phone calls keeping me updated while they had it.
I could only be happier if it hadn't failed to begin with. After the stellar customer support I got, I'll be a Ruger fan for life.

Mine is fed a diet of Wolf, Brown Bear, Winchester, surplus, really whatever is cheap, only fed with P-mags. Never had an issue.
