    If I'm going to buy a piston gun it's going to be one that's been built from the ground up. The SCAR is an excellent gun that was built properly around a piston.

    +1 The SCAR is a fantastic rifle - in both 5.56 as well as .308. Thats what the ACR should have been.

    Did you have a chance to shoot it by now?
    I own one SR556 and it runs like champ.
    Used it for a class ca.450rds without a single hickup.
    I set the GB on pos. 2 and it eats all ammo I tried to feed it (reloads, federal bulk, wolf, brown/silver bear)

    I have 556e. Weight was less than regular 556.
    Shot it when I got the red dot sight to zero in, and no problem with Walmart federal ammo.

    Now, I got a buis, so I gotta zero that in.
    I guess I had real good luck with at I owned.
    From bushmasters to ruger, I had zero problem so far.
