"There is a member here, I won't name him....he will out himself I am sure, tha doesn't know who John Elway is. I felt bad for him"

Unfortunately, in my experience, many if not most of the people who do know who John Elway is do NOT know anything about matters of real substance, like the actual language and meaning of the Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. Of course, the powers that be rather prefer it that way.

It is truly tragic that people allow themselves to be consumed and diverted by such trivia as spectator 'sports'. I believe that Jefferson had it right when he advise his nephew to avoid 'games with the ball', since they indeed 'stamp no character on the mind'. The Romans and the Nazis both encouraged sports to divert their subject populations from the evils being perpetrated by those governments. A bunch of 'men' cheering for overpaid louts playing a kids' game while their own kids' future is being stolen is something I find truly appalling. They are not men; real men do not shirk their duty to their posterity in such a fashion.

I don't feel bad that someone doesn't know who John Elway is; rather that people actually give a rat's ass about who John Elway is.

I'm not from here.. I don't view Elway as a god.. he was a marginal QB at best.. certainly not excellent.. He was lucky that Bowlen finally put a team together that could win a super bowl. It was NOT Elway.. I moved here when they went.. I didn't know whoTF he was before I watched that game.. Never heard of him..

What is this foosball you speak of?

I actually watched part of it, but for reason I have really been getting into college football. Watched the Airforce game and before that I watched a Montanna and Eastern Washingtion game. Oops derail.

    Back on topic.

There was a sports writer from Oakland on the radio this morning who said that the only one he felt bad for during the game was Thunder (the Bronco's horse)- he saw him on a stretcher at the end of the game with an IV in him from running up and down the field so damn much...

In other sports news, another team didn't score any TDs yesterday either... The Jets. Their fans are already screaming for them to put in Tebow... Here we go again!

I find it comical that a majority of members of this site don't seem to understand that you can have more than one hobby in life and will post to a thread just to tell you that and how much they dislike football.

Then don't click on a thread about it. If I went into EVERY thread that had subject matter I didn't personally like I wouldn't ever get outside. Maybe you should just stick to the subjects you actually care about and stop being an anti-football troll.

    Sheesh.
