    Default USPS

A couple weeks ago I shipped my little brother some stuff for his first semester of college. I bought him some expensive protein and such for the package and shipped it via USPS 5-day (already almost $15). He didn't receive it until today which is a few days late. When he got it, it was all broken and had a note from USPS telling him that the package has been damaged and to notify USPS if about any missing articles. He is missing the protein and supplements and a bunch of other things.

So, he goes and tells them at his office in middle of no where Georgia and they tell him they can't help him. I did not insure the package. So are we just screwed because I neglected to get insurance? Anybody have any suggestions?

Yep, without insurance you are screwed. Next time send it FedEX and insure it.

I was afraid of that. The only reason why I shipped USPS is because its to a PO BOX. I get a shipping discount at work or I would have done that...

He could just as easily insure it with USPS.

I know UPS does that, but USPS doesn't.

You're right! UPS is automatically ins for the first $99 free but USPS is not unless you pay for it.

My experience has been that no matter what if the USPS owes you $$$ you will never see it.

I sold an item COD once. The PO sent the money to the wrong address. I fought for 2 years trying to get my $75
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.
