Guess they forgot to research that story before making the ad. Mittens actually spent time as an "undercover boss" working on a garbage truck as governor of MA.

Damn those facts and details getting in the way again. Snippet from the article.

One day I gathered trash as a garbage collector.  I stood on that little platform at the back of the truck, holding on as the driver navigated his way through the narrow streets of Boston.  As we pulled up to traffic lights, I noticed that the shoppers and businesspeople who were standing only a few feet from me didn’t even see me.  It was as if I was invisible.  Perhaps it was because a lot of us don’t think garbage men are worthy of notice; I disagree – anyone who works that hard deserves our respect. –

Whhhhaaaaaa I pick up trash for a living! Hey numbnuts did you read the job title or description? You knew damn well what you were getting into and if you don't like it leave. No one said "Hey man I want to hire you to be a fortune 500 company ceo" then duped you into slinging cans. And Romney sure as shit didn't do it to you either.

I would bet that Mitt's property taxes are paying the guy salary. If it's a private service he's paying for his salary out of his pocket. Either way, the guy is an ungrateful SOB.

If this guy still wants to be picking up trash at 55-60 yrs old thats his fault. Most people strive for advancement in their jobs.

Seriously..anyone with a good mental health will prefer a successful millionaire's opinion over his trash guy. Why this guy deserves our attention is beyond me.

Ads like that just piss me off!
Did anyone make the guy become a 'sanitation engineer' - nope! $43k isn't too bad in my opinion? Do I get paid more, sure but I’ve had to work damn hard to get where I am.
There are too many people who just wanted to be handed everything!
I had to work hard to get my education in order to get a decent job then I even had to prove myself again to get a visa and my green card. It’s amazing what you can achieve if you’re determined.

approximate property taxes on his San Diego home is $135,000 a year. I think that says "thanks" enough to the city workers

I am not exactly sure what this guy is bitching about. I bet you could pay him twice as much and he would still bitch. He is a union trash man in Cali, he is making close to $65-70k.

I have been a commercial refuse transportation relocation engineer for almost 10yrs now, and I make about 60k. Its hard work but the compensation is pretty good.

I did residential trash for 6yrs before I switched over to commercial and the only thing I miss about resi is the Christmas tips
