As New in Box is a used gun unfired by any owner in 100% condition, includes box and papers.

Like New in Box is a used gun in 99% condition, maybe fired a couple/few times and includes box and papers. More than 10 rounds makes it less than 99% in my view.

I judge most used guns by the NRA used gun standards. Box and papers adds a little value to new guns and alot of value to guns like 1950s Smith and Wesson revolvers.

What do you guys think of my definitions?
    I like it.

New=Never sold previously at retail. (Shotgun News definition of a firearm advertised as "new".)

I would rather hear like new than "Minty" any day of the week. At least "Like New" tells me that there should be no signs that something has been used when in fact it has been.

"Minty" means many things to many people. Of course these words also depend on what your buying. By roberth's definition nobody has ever bought a "new"car because just the act of putting gas in it and driving it off the assembly line makes it used. Just a thought.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

"new" (when it's not) = likely a seller from CA.

    F**ktards.

By the way, I might have a brand spanking new 1993 GMC truck for sale soon. It only has 180,000 miles on it. It's brand new.

Have some news for ya, 20 rounds through the rifle or handgun or shotty means it
is used and worth around 20% less than MSRP

I seriously hate when people don't understand the defanition of used.
In some instances when you fire a couple round and have serious issues....
send the firearm back to factory, they will use 10-50 rounds or even up to 100
to ensure your firearm will be reliable when they ship it back to you. The factory
still considers it new and price does and will reflect that notion.

WTF? How is that new? In two tanks, you could have damaged that engine...

Anyways, I've got to agree with the original post, when did "New" start meaning something other than "New"?
When people believed in HOPE & CHANGE.........Transparency, If i do not Balance the budget do not re elect me. NEW.

Unless you are a dealer, its motherf***ing USED.

I give a rats-ass if you bought it at 9am this morning, brought it straight home and your Mom caught you trying to sneak it into the basement.

its not new, it's second-hand. This is also known as "used"...

Ads should read..."virgin rifle waiting to be deflowered by you". Why use words like "LNIB, new, still has factory lube"? It is all so unsexy!
