AFAIK, your permit stays at the place of issue. for example, I have mine through Jeffco, I've since lived in Arapahoe, Denver and back to Arapahoe. Everytime I had to go back to Jeffco to get the changes done. No big deal if you're in the area, but move to the other side of the state and it becomes a chore.
