An insane sob with some of the most outlandish tv infomercial type claims. This is the guy who claims combat accuracy and suppression with a 5inch barrell .45 at 600 yards... (Bullet drop at that range is over 60ft)

Quite the read. Alot of verbiage that really doesn't say much.
I too am a touch skeptical, not saying his claims are impossible, but at what trade off?
Typically on the platform an increase in mechanical repeatability(which is essential for accuracy) comes at the cost of reliability.
The platform has been in existence over a hundred years and many, many Smiths have tried to build a better mousetrap with some tall claims and exotic work.
They always seem to come full circle back to the basics.
Wide barrel links have been tried, at the cost of barrel lugs and link pins. The claim that the link is essential to accuracy is partially true. But the fit of the locking lugs of the slide/barrel is the crucial part and the link has to be the right length for proper lug engagement.
Collet type bushings have been tried but are failure prone.

He may be on to something or it may be a re hash of old tricks.
Top shelf 1911's from the hands of builders like Les Baer, Bill Laughridge, Yost and Volkmann rely on no gee whiz widgets and in the hands of a skilled shooter are capable of uncanny accuracy at distance.
WTF good is a 600 yard .45 anyway? Leave a bruise?

Difference .22lr is much more capable of distance.


His initial claims were in combat using it against 600 yard targets. The newest and first example of anywhere near believable test is after using a rest for both the gun and his hand. The target I dont recall the name, but it's like a 3ft by 4 ft target. You get a rest already set up at pretty much the right steep angle and sure you can walk it in and just keep the same position and keep pulling that trigger. The guy most from the threads about him agree he himself is a good shot probably. But you can't create a mythical pistol slinging 230g .45's as any sort of effective combat weapon except when getting hokey with a rest.

Even the more recent "demo" was only after 2 years of outrageous claims and cancelled showings.
