There was a published "directive" and "how to" in an Al Queda publishing early in the spring IIRC. I recall hearing the qoute: "the west shall burn from within".
Makes perfect sense to disrupt an economy plus tie up substantial resources.

Yes, he is VERY credible. Amazing background. Formerly with the NSA, etc.

+1 this. As all of these fires were burning, I posted something to the effect of this tie-in. No one acknowledged my post.

Folks, we have a cunning enemy in this "religion of peace". Don't deceive yourselves into believing their ultimate goal is anything short of destroying the "infidels". You can believe all you want that they're mostly - aside from a few extremists - a decent people. Islam is not a religion, it is an ideology and it's not just those of middle-eastern descent who subscribe to it. More and more liberal/socialist minded people around the world, including here in the U.S., are adopting the Islamic philosophy as their way of life.

I'll say it again, the enemy is cunning and patient, looking for every opportunity and sign of weakness from those who do not subscribe to their way. While we've seen tremendous growth in their numbers in the last 50 years, they've lasted thousands of years and won't stop until we're dead or enslaved. They're in it for the long haul and plan to win at all costs, even if they have to do it via a "death from a thousand paper cuts" manner. They don't want to be our friends, they want to be our Masters!

Yeah I really try to feel bad for the insurance companies. Now course no offense to you, and with all due respect etc etc.

I can't remember the last time a large insurance company that posted a loss...
