    Default PSA on Frog Lube

So I am posting this in wonderful GD to allow for more to see this.

I sent a co-worker to LiveFire Armory, Kevin in Falcon,CO. He is awesome by the way.
He got my co-worker a Trijicon Accupoint scope for a great deal and then my co-worker
for me helping him find a great deal, bought me some Frog Lube.

This stuff is amazing. I cleaned my pistol last night, I hadnt cleaned in a long time and old
carbon build up on the barrel and all over basically.
I applied the FL and let it sit for about 30 to 40 minutes.
I scrubbed the heck out of it, but not as much as I normally do. The gun was sparkling after
and the friction between the slide and frame seems a lot smoother and less friction by a significant amount.
I usually have used Mobil synthetic oil for lubricating my guns, not anymore. Frog Lube for everything.

Just thought you knuckleheads would like to know. Its great stuff and well worht the money.

Also has a minty smell, so my Hot lil Hole didnt mind me cleaning in the living room

Since I washed from class 218, the SEALs always will have a special place in my heart and this is the real reason why
    I wanted FrogLube.

I just started using it myself also and I have no complaints. It appears to work as advertised.

It's been doing great for my guns, no complaints. That reminds me I need a few more of the glue brushes for the paste...

My wife always complains about the strong smell of hoppes #9 so I have been thinking of picking some of this up!

Question: I know a lot of guys recommend grease for high heat guns such as AK's. How well does frog lube hold up in these applications? Will it just burn off like light oils?

I bought some a few weeks ago. Here is my early two gun report.

The bottle the liquid came in has a big hole to dispense it. There is no way to just put a drop or two out. I ended up using a piece of 1/16 inch diameter wire as a dipstick applicator. It is also thick enough that I don't know if it will work in a bottle that dispenses just drops. I also doubt you could get down a long thin tube to get where you want it.

I bought my FrogLube from Midway. They only sell the liquid and paste. The FrogLube website also shows a spray type. I'll have to get some of that to try. I did buy some paste. I used it where I would normally use grease.

It does seem very slippery. I couple days ago I cycled one of the FrogLubed guns that had been in the 40 degree shop overnight. It seemed to be stiff like the lube got stiff in the cold. I'm going to have to check that out some more before I trust it on something subject to cold.

FrogLube says it is biodegradable. I'm not sure what that means in this case. I'm don't know if I want it on a gun if that means it only lasts a few months before it breaks down.

It will take some time to see if their claim that dirt doesn't stick to it proves out to be true.

I'm curious to see how it handles high temperatures.

It does smell nice. Whenever I open my safe nowadays I get hit with a pleasant minty smell.

It definitely seems to be slipperier than other lubes.

I like it so far. I don't regret the money spent. It will definitely be my primary lube on most of my guns.
