It is also thick enough that I don't know if it will work in a bottle that dispenses just drops. I also doubt you could get down a long thin tube to get where you want it.

I bought my FrogLube from Midway. They only sell the liquid and paste. The FrogLube website also shows a spray type. I'll have to get some of that to try. I did buy some paste. I used it where I would normally use grease.

It does seem very slippery. I couple days ago I cycled one of the FrogLubed guns that had been in the 40 degree shop overnight. It seemed to be stiff like the lube got stiff in the cold. I'm going to have to check that out some more before I trust it on something subject to cold.

FrogLube says it is biodegradable. I'm not sure what that means in this case. I'm don't know if I want it on a gun if that means it only lasts a few months before it breaks down.

It will take some time to see if their claim that dirt doesn't stick to it proves out to be true.

I'm curious to see how it handles high temperatures.

It does smell nice. Whenever I open my safe nowadays I get hit with a pleasant minty smell.

It definitely seems to be slipperier than other lubes.

I like it so far. I don't regret the money spent. It will definitely be my primary lube on most of my guns.
Had both my ARs out shooting this past sat when it was 40 degrees outside, and they were fine.

my .02. more expensive hype when all the other stuff has worked fine ever since I can remember.
I'll stick to what I know and keeping my guns cleaned and lubed as they always have and they will continue to work just fine!

Thanks for the report. That was the first time I had it cold. I wasn't sure but it did bother me enough to want to specificaly check it cold. Just to make sure it was ok.

I picked some up from the Tanner show last month. I've applied it to the bolt carrier and upper receiver of one of my AR's, as well as a light coating in the buffer tube and on the buffer... I've not shot it yet, but charging by hand seems pretty much the same as before. I'll heat up one of my Glock slides and use it on it this weekend...

Don't really think of using it as an oil and a grease and use them that way. The paste and the liquid are basically exactly the same thing. I just use the liquid to put on a patch to run through the barrel, and use the paste to paint it everywhere else.

Also, think of it as cosmoline on military weapons or seasoning cast iron: it's meant so soak into the metal. So disassemble, paint it on everywhere, then stick it in a crockpot, under a hair dryer, in the oven (if you're single or want to be) or in a cardboard box on a nice hot day in the sun for several hours then let it cool. One or two treatments like this and it'll stay slick.

Well that stinks. I guess I wasted my money if that's the way it's meant to be used.

Another Frog Lube convert here. I picked some up this summer and used it on my Garand before doing some load development. Worked great, no issues in 27 rounds and the cleanup afterwards was quick and easy. I've got the liquid and the paste. I put the liquid on a cloth and rubbed all the metal and the wood (looks great on the wood), then put the paste everywhere I would have put TW25B before.

I also put it on my SIG P6 and took it hiking this past weekend - no problems with dirt/dust sticking to it and I was breaking trail at times.

Lastly, it's working fine in my AR as well. I put 20 rounds down range after shooting the Garand with no problems, no noticible wear on the BCG and another easy clean up.

    still makes calls doesn't it?

what i'm saying is they didn't reinvent the wheel with this stuff.

The synthetic oil you used before this will last in a truck engine for easily 10,000 miles. If that same stuff won't work on a gun that 90%+ of us here shoot probably under 1000 rounds between each cleaning, then I can only assume something is wrong with the gun.

I'd like to see someone slap some frog lube on a problematic hi-point that has constant failures and see if the magical frog jizz makes it run 100% for a few hundred rounds.
