Anyone down near the Arkansas River?

I am curious if the sunflowers are starting to drop seed yet?

Everywhere I've seen in El Paso county the sunflowers are still underdeveloped and are not holding birds yet. Maybe they will develope before the fist cold weather and it will be a good dove year.

Anybody remember the frost in late August in the late 1980's...no dove that year?
