Ah,ok so bulged rpk trunnion is the same as the yugo.
I think somebody here has the center die for the yugo flats.
I need to get one for my bending jig.I just have other priorities right now,but hopefully in a couple of months I will order one.

NO! The Romanian RPK recievers are NOT THE SAME. I believe the yugos are shorter than the average AK receiver.

Yugo is yugo. Romanian is everything else.

OK correction. The yugo reciever is the same length... I just checked mine but I remember reading something about how the yugos won't work with the romy RPKs....

Better call curtis from AK builder to find out.

I think it might be the barrel dimensions that are different, but yes give Curtis a call to verify.
The die for the yugo recievers should work on the rpk's-1.5mm flats

I think the die will work but I think the rear rivet holes might be different and possibly the angle of the rear of the receiver. Not to mention the slot for the rear sling loop.

I was doing a little research with my google-foo and it seems that the yugos can be "made" to work but was having trouble finding any true testimony.

Now that you mention it Bry,the back angle is different due to the yugo rear trunion being more like a milled stock version.I think it might be mentioned on the akforum on how to make it work.

I think the only way would be to add metal and then weld it up.The NDS -7 is what he needs. http://www.nodakspud.com/page2.htm

I was hoping to build an under folder or side folder out of the rpk. I know I will have to mill down the rear trunion and weld up a few holes for the under folder. Maybe there is a better flat or pre bent to start with for that route. But the side folder should be an easy one.
