    Default Clark Hammocks Flex 180

So I've been drooling over the NX-250 model for over a year now, and finally have enough "fun money" to justify getting it. And what do I see on the main site... but this beauty thrown in just to make my decision even harder. Any of you guys have any thoughts on this model vs the NX-250? Or am I the only dork on here who thinks sleeping in a "bear burrito" is the best way to camp? :-)

I love those things for wet areas, cannot help you decide though. Have a really old one.

I have a Hennessy. It's great to sleep in but I wish I had waited/saved for a clark.
The storage in that flex 180 would be nice. Have you looked around on hammock forums . com for reviews?

naturally everyone has their own opinion, but id just get a hennessy hammock and call it a day. you can get them for much cheaper and they have many of the same features. thats just me though. if those were about 150-200 cheaper id get one for sure, but with a price tag like that i think my hennessy serves well.

Holy crap dude, those are pricey. I have one of the Eno doublenest hammocks (OD and black), and when I'm in it alone, i can fold it over on top of myself and i'm fully enclosed. I've camped in it, in a sleeping bag a couple times. The only thing I don't like is the complete lack of insulation under you, so it tends to be colder sleeping than when on a sleeping pad.

It's too new for anybody on the hammock forums to have picked one up yet. Yeah, I agree - definitely pricey, but from everything I've ever read it's a keeper. They appear to be really well made. I had looked at Hennesys before, but I like the side-entry and "tent pole" expanders on the Clark better. Plus the Clark's are mosquito-proof on all sides, whereas people in wetter areas complain about being bit through the underside of the Hennesy. Just a matter of preference.

My favorite part about hammock camping is not having to find a clear/soft/flat spot the size of the tent. Literally just a pair of trees. :-)

I guess when I look at the prices, All I can think of is a polymer pistol or 1k rounds of ammo
and 100ft of paracord and a tarp from wally world will work just as well.
