Biden calling Medicare and SS a guaranteed benefit and that people like Joes family can't afford it....last time I looked Joe made something like 300K last year, or more. I think he can afford it.

Medicare, Medicaid, and SS are unfunded liabilities to the tune of 100 Trillion plus. This means that the government has NO MONEY in reserve to pay for these promises.

We're entering the time when the baby boomers, the largest subset of the population, is entering the period of time when their medical costs start to sky rocket.

There are not enough people employed and earning enough money to pay the taxes required to cover these costs. These costs include the medications, doctors and nurses, and the GIANT government bureaucracy to administer these programs.

Some group of American citizens is going to have to pay the price. For 30 years both parties have been putting those costs on your children and grandchildren.

Ryan saying the better thing to do is to take into account what the commanders need, get them the troops/supplies they need and make sure the gains that have been made are kept and that it doesn't again become a breeding ground for al qaeda and terrorism.
