    I had a beutifull early Garand that was all correct and guaged well at throat and muzzle that had the HUGE Blue Sky import mark on the barrel.
    Years ago that killed the value of it.Now I wish I never got rid of it..
    I saw one of those where that stamp was applied so hard it ovalled the barrel.

    Yea it's ashame that they did that.
    For what they went for back then they were worth it,unless of course you got one that was ovaled like that.

    For the purist collector import marks kill the deal.
    But for me I dont mind having a nice reprisentitive piece that functions well and I dont have to worry about shooting a safe queen..

    It all depends on how much their asking price is.If it's priced like a collectable I usualy pass unless it's a scarce example.
