Century International Arms is an importer.
So it has been imported.Probably from stores over in Germany.

Does it carry any other markings? It may be a lend lease or contract item from another country.
The markings on the dustcover shows it is a Century Arms International, which typically means it is imported.

Look at an American made car the last 20 or so years?

The plating lost any value it mat have had.

It happens, the A1 AR's they were putting out a few years ago bore CAI rollmarks and from what we found they were mostly Colt's that sat in warehouses overseas.
CAI bought them, hung new lowers and rolled them out. Decent little rifles for the price.

Most ww2 guns that saw there end of service overseas came back over as imports.I have quite a few that have import marks.
Kinda sucks though seeing that they were made buy us and have to be imported and paid for again

I had a beutifull early Garand that was all correct and guaged well at throat and muzzle that had the HUGE Blue Sky import mark on the barrel.
Years ago that killed the value of it.Now I wish I never got rid of it..
