Sophomore in high school at the time. Was in my JROTC dress blues, as we did every Tuesday. Didn't have a first period, so I was on the computer gaming. Had the local news on, which broke to Good Morning America about 5 minutes early because of a plane crash.

The game chat room I was in was already talking about it. My dad was in the other room getting ready for work, also had it on. They showed the skyline from the north, when the second plane flew in. Nothing is more surreal than you saying "Oh shit," hearing your dad in the next room say it, and see 30 other people on line type it out all at the same moment.

I was at my GF place off Leetsdale and Illiff. My Dad Nextel alerted me and I woke up. He told me to turn the TV on and the WTC had been hit. I watched the 1st tower drop, and I immediatly called my ex wife and went to get my Daughter and then to my Dads house (I was living with him at the time).
Im still angry and want revenge more then ever. Lets finish this war right, the way we should have in the first place and get our Men and Women in Uniform home safe.
Im sure most of you feel some justice was done the day that SEAL Team VI got that motherfucker, but more needs to be done.

I was on may way to work that morning, typical morning run stop get coffee,bs a bit and off I went.
I diddnt have a radio in my car at the time but I knew somthing went down.
Got to work and everybody was just standing round like the bomb just hit.
Then someone said the towers got hit-ok that happened before, small planes crash into them once in a while-this is what i was thinking-Then I saw the news-Holy Shit!!
Just as i said that I got a phonecall from my reserve commander, emergency activation, get my ass down there!!!

I only live 2hrs away, but i made it down to the armory in an hr.
The sureal thing was that nobody was going down, everybody was evacing.
It was like in a movie or something-friggin erie.

I wound up pulling guard and rescue-saw shit that day that couldn't compare to combat I saw. These were our own inocents-not combat troops,I probably would have felt different if it was combat troops.Thats what we got paid for.

Yea 10yrs later and many of our own lost for what?So the big O can pad his ego by saying he bagged the bastard?!!??
Still aint changed squat!!!!Its actualy worse with the current admin letting them do what they want and treat us like we did it!!!
Get our asses out of the A.O.!!!We dont need to be there!
    Bring our boys home!!
    Let the bastards eat sand!!!!

I went down to Ground Zero on the 5th aniversary with a few of the guys I was there with, yes we cried like babbies, but it needed to be done

God Bless all who lost there lives there and abroad, and also for the survivors and fammilies

I just woke up and was getting ready when my buddy came over to pick me up for work and next thing I know was there was a pounding at my door and my buddy flew in and said turn on the TV, I responded with "Who did we go to war with", Never forget it. Turned on the TV after the first hit and watched the second hit. Went to the bank and watched the towers fall...

I still have a deep seated anger that I can't or won't get rid of.

On my way to DMV, peter boyles was talking about whether or not this was an accident or a hoax as he was not accessible to a tv, then minutes later confirmed it was real.
One of my cousins was 2 blocks down from the towers because his dad/ my uncle had goaded him in to doing breakfast as he always worked 12 hour days at this investment co in tower 1. My other cousin vaguely remembers trying to get off the floor and down the stairs in tower 1 also, as smoke was everywhere. He knows someone grabbed his arm and dragged him out in to the street. the next thing he remembers is ending up in mid-town not knowing how he got there. My neice was at Columbia U when it happened, she called my sister who told her to get the hell out of there ASAP. A NYC cop tried to prevent her from going over the bridge, luckily she had one of my dad's gold sheilds from 20+ tears as a NYPD detcetive My sisters attended 10 funerals after wards, my brother was home sick when parts of the tower 2 jet cut a swath through another tower, two desk over from where he would have been sitting that day. a few of his business partners like many others where never found. Fellow running partner was doing a solarium on a rooftop 8 blocks away when he had to jump off the side of the framing, because "this jet came this close" as he remembers to taking his crew out. When i finally was able to get through to my sister, she said the cops and fireman were driving through the neighborhoods telling people over loud speakers to stay off the streets and in doors until further notice.

We were back in NY for my sisters wedding in dec that year. even with the id's i had was unable to get closer than 6 blocks from GZ.
Our daughter commented that only in NY could you see a burned out building while right next to it a beauty shop had their open sign lit!. Somewhere i have a pile of pictures i took while down there.
I'm not bitter towards a foreign country who's citizens bank rolled the attack. I do however have an issue the country was never punished for it's actions, because being able to drive is obviously more important than justice. YMMV
