Anyone notice in the news they refer to them as not only assault weapons but also include the term AK because that weapon has an evil reputation. I have never heard a reference to m4 or ar in any news stories. The LEGAL weapons we own are not assault rifles because they are not fully automatic. I would say buy your guns now and get all of the ammo you can afford in case he gets re elected. Ammo is like stamps, you can always sell and recover your money if things settle down. If they change the laws they will have to grandfather us in or there will be a serious revolt. just my 2 cents.

The AK47 is the most recognizable weapon in the world. Demonize it and the masses nod their head.
Regarding buy now, too late for some, unaffordable for others. BUT, i have yet to see a run on guns or abnormal BG wait times. Our own FS forum will reflect that gun prices have not gone up, as a matter of "fact" they are stagnant for the moment.

Commipornia was trying to classify M-1 Garands as assault weapons. To be fair, they WERE assault weapons 70 years ago and pretty darn effective even 60 years ago but I haven't heard of anyone attempting to assault anything with one recently (10 pound semi-automatic rifle with 8-shot capacity? Seriously?) and have never heard of one being used in a crime but just try using logic, reason or facts with a Commiepornia Dummycrat ...

And in the same breath didn't he say he believed in the 2nd amendment? And didn't the Supreme Court, during his current term, confirm that the 2nd amendment is there to protect the right of the individual citizen against a tyrannical government??

Less AK's than AR's in the U.S. means you can condemn the former, not mention the latter, and then when you ban the features on the former, it covers them both. Neat, huh?!

The supreme court has nothing to do with any presidents sitting term. IT does however have sway over what remains or does not remain law. Which is why re-electing O will allow him to add 1 if not 2 judges to the SC.

I sure do hope prices don't shoot through the roof, and I hope Obummer doesn't screw my plan up, but I plan on purchasing or building a 7.62 NATO AR in January when I have some more money saved up.

Obama doesnt scare me. I already knew he was waiting for that second term to pass the heavy anti gun stuff. Romney worries me though, his Mass. AWB was really scary...Either way, hopefully gun owners can agree that Obama is not the right guy for us.

I actually love these gun buying frenzies! It means more and more new gun owners, and more current owners buying even more and solidifying their pro 2A stance!
