Just curious how you all vote on the judges?

I spend 3 to 4 hours going through the data on Judges up for retention. If they don't have a minimum 75% retention recomendation from those queried and 100% from the panel, I usually vote for ousting them. Beyond that (about half) you really have to dig. I ended up voting against retention on about 60% this time.

I dig into the reviews. The commission recommendations appear to be an attorney's lobbying group to me. http://www.clearthebench.org/ is a useful link for seeing how the various judges voted and therefore whether you'd want to retain them. I really could care less if 25% of attorneys didn't like a particular judge because s/he was rude to them -- in fact, in one case, I thought it was a positive that the judge had a much higher rating from non-attorneys than attorneys (of course, the commission wanted to oust that particular judge).

Dang, i wish I would have seen that site while reviewing my selections... too late now.
