I have a question about the way he is cycling the charging handle.

The charging handle has an extended charging handle latch. He appears to cycle the bolt by just using the extended latch.

Will the charging handle stand up to that type of muscle?

I always thought the charging handle always looked kinda flimsy to take asymmetrical loading like that.

Does anyone have any hands on experience on this?

I wondered the same thing a while back, but after having a extended latch on my varminter for a few years, and charging it "asymmetrically" as you put it, dozens of times, i've not had any issues with the charging handle bending.... my scope is in the way.

On standard CH's the part where the latch pin is held can spread apart and the latch will fall off, but this is after A LOT of use. Most extended latch handles don't have this problem, though.
