Volunteer arms Thompson?

So I posted a mossberg 500 for trade or sale a while ago and a guy offered me his volunteer arms thompson replica for the shotgun, two questions, 1. Does anyone have any experience with these who can tell me if they are good or if they are junk? 2. Should I make this trade? Thank you guys.

It is a fair trade for a Mossberg 500.

They are not junk, but they're certainly no Thompson. Think what it would be like if China mass produced the Thompson with inferior fit and finish. There are good ones and there are bad ones. A google search will tell you more. I hear more bad than good about them.

There were several versions. The Mark series and the Commando and possibly another. The guys on the forums say the different versions take different mags.
