Recently I had an offer and I had to wait a few days to figure if it would work with a 3rd party. Offer dried up, my prblem for not getting it in stone quicker.

Its frustrating for sure ill give you that. Just like I was, but the anger shouldn't be at them for addressing their own needs. (Barring a firm agreement)
When I made the offer I wasnt slated to leave.
Schedule can change at a moments notice. If I didnt make offers when
I came across them, Id never have a chance to buy from local folks.

Man ... It really sucks to have a bad experience with EE , especially small tight forum like this.
I had a similar experience like this about 4 years ago here.
I was the seller. I politely messages him, and he was unhappy.
It was fine Upto that, but this guy was trashing my sales thread. Thankfully , mod took cared of that one within a day.

I let time heal. I had bad experience on arf website for local deal. Butt welched. It is a negative feedback there for welching, but I decided to let it go. Of course I was damn pissed, but Shit happens sometimes.

I would say to not leave negative feedback for this. I've sold items on Craigslist and have received dozens of inquiries. I'll sell it to the first person and ignore the rest after taking down the listing. I would expect more here but would not be to surprised to not receive a pm.

CL is different than here IMO... if i am dealing with a newbie with <10 posts i will be cautious, but for someone that has a history and feedback that is a different.

Courtesy issues aside, two weeks in the internet age might as well be six months.

This isnt craigslist though. We are a tight community. Its funny how one
guy on her buys XYZ firearm and trades it for CBA firearm then eventally gets back
XYZ firearm from a 4th person.

Im not posting neg feedback as much s Id like to. Never was the intention.

If there was no deal set in stone then I don't think negative feedback is deserved.

I didnt respond in time due to work and being out of town.

I tell the person Id like to figure it out when I get back to town in a couple weeks.

Well I never heard back from them and I notice the item is gone.

When did common courtesy go out of the window?? The time at which I received the PM
and that I responded was a no more that 35 -40 minutes.
I never received any response and only noticed this morning that the item was gone.

This is one of those times I feel that negative feedback is warrented. Only reason is due to the newness of the person.

At anyrate that my shitty rant.
No commitment to purchase. However an acknowledgement of your touching bases would have been nice. Still you did not commit to purchase so there is no basis for negative feed back.
IIRC. The EE rules does not have a "common Courtesy" clause
