    Default Which EBR

So, I decided not to build a first AR but buy a complete one. Now the question arises which one, so far I am looking at: Colt, Wilson Combat, Olympic Arms, Bushmaster, DPMS and Armalite (in no particular order). I hear good things about Oly Arms and it's a few bucks cheaper than the rest. Wilsons look nice but are probably the most expensive of them all, so it's probably the last one I'd look at. Any suggestions or advice or experience of one over another would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you can go wrong by choosing any of those you listed.
    dont forget Rock River.

your biggest "problem" will be deciding which one with what features in a price range you can afford.

Stag arms also makes a decent AR. If I was you I would buy a complete reciever from Alan. Then go to the EE on arf.com as well as guns of america, gun broker ect and look for a complete upper you want. That would be a lot cheaper than buying a completed rifle.

Since your one of our new members I am refering to Alan Samuel he has his own forum on this site. He also might even have some uppers he could make you a deal on.

CMT/Stag Arms makes a good AR. They build the M&P ARs for S&W. I have a Stag stripped lower that I completed and mated to a RRA 16" Mid-length that was advertised on ARFCOM by Pete at Legal Transfers. It was about a $600 build...but prices on some components have gone up since then.

My first AR was a Bushmaster M4A3 "Patrolman's Carbine". It's a lightweight flat-top and is suited to just about everything you want from a general purpose AR.

Thanks all, good info. Does anyone have anything to say about Fulton Armory AR's?
