    Default Getting a C&R License

Hi all, I tried searching old posts and most of the links are bad. What forms do I need to send in and to whom do I send the forms? Would the Chief LEO be the sheriff or local PD?

    Thanks guys.

Depends on where you live. Good rule of thumb. Who responds to your location first? Usually in a larger town it is pd. Some smaller towns contract with the county sheriff for law enforcement.

Most local PD chiefs will not sign off on anything let alone any FFL lic.

Irrelevant to Curios & Relics license, since the copy to the CLEO is information only. It does not require their permission.

The ATF website has the forms.

Just don't come back here and ask exactly how long it takes for them to process the application...
