Light a fire for a man, and he'll be warm for a day, light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life...

Not arguing anyone's oppression. I've got heritage on both sides. My point is...America is was and always will be the land of the free. Atrocities have been commited since the beginning of known time. The US is and has to be better than that. Honestly I don't hear many if any Black Americans crying about slavery. You must watch too much TV if you think that's the case.
And the likelihood of BHO being descended from the FIRST African slave brought to America is about the same as me being descended from the British Crown(a probability somewhat less than zero), and it's utterly irrelevant anyhow.Given that his father is a citizen of Kenya, the possibility of his having ANY U.S. slave heritage is vainishingly slim. American Slavery is no doubt a black eye for the "Land of the Free", but it ended 150 years ago. It's time for folks to get over it. I don't give a rat's ass who his ancestors were, I look at what he's done and where he's going to go if we give him the chance, and I don't like the man.

"There is no news in the truth, and no truth in the news."
"The revolution will not be televised... Instead it will be filmed from multiple angles via cell phone cameras, promptly uploaded to YouTube, Tweeted about, and then shared on Facebook, pending a Wi-Fi connection."
I guess it depends on how you read it. Wood pile represents family tree you have cut down and are about to burn, family you want to deny. But the truth is if you have family that has been in the south more then 3 generation then there is something like a 99% chance you had a family member that was a slave. I don't deny my past and embrace that history. I just think it funny and sad that others use it to further their agendas. I think it more racist to use this history as a way to get ahead in life. Buy selling yourself as a descendant of a slave you are having others judge you not by your character, but by the color of your skin.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
