    Default 10mm carbines?

Besides the 10mm AR upper discussed below, are there any 10mm carbines? Can't recall seeing them, and it striked me that'd be a good round out of a carbine-rifle length barrel.

You still see the mech tech glock carbine uppers around. Not sure if they are still made?

The 10mm when shot from a carbine is a very potent weapon.
If you load rounds specific for a carbine you can make it even more potent.

As a general rule of thumb you can gain between 1-300 ft/sec shooting pistol ammo from a 16" carbine. Load for a carbine using slower powders to utilize the barrel length for a longer burn and you can get 500 plus ft/sec gain.

That means around 2000ft/sec with a 125 grain bullet
    1900ft/sec with a 165
    1700ft/sec with a 180

FWIW that is more energy than a hunting 44 magnum from a 6" revolver at the muzzle and flatter shooting and a 20 round magazine!

I love my Oly 10mm carbine.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

There are 10mm versions of the MP5 and UMP/USC families. I'll bet they're pricey, though. A google search turned up a bunch of other stuff, too.
    The "k" is silent.

Cool, thanks guys. Think I want one based on a Glock 20, or possibly a Delta Elite.

Wow, great thought. I'd love for you to keep this thread going if/when you make any progress. I'm now interested in one based on a glock 20 as well.

Right now I'm leaning toward the Mech Tech unit as I want the longer barrel for velocity. Like these: http://glockparts.com/ManufacturersP....aspx?MANF=172
