Default Anybody else get suckered into buying a Ruger SR556?

I bought a "LNIB" Ruger SR556 from a form. The rifle appeared to be in great shape, everythin I could examine at the meeting site was clean the total package price seemed reasonable.
A week later I finally found time to get out to the range only to find out this thing jammed worse that a cheap throw away Jimenez .25. This thing was awful, failure to eject and feed about everyother round.
Ruger, much to my surprise didn't hesitate to issue me an RA number, they said they wanted the firearm to function perfectly so it's now back at their shop.
Just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with this weapon.

Mine is definitely a turd. It jammed on several types of factory ammo, all brass, and different mags. Me and Ruger have a dud on on our hands! I just hope they get it fixed and get it back to me before the zombies get here!

Could be that the gas port seals need to be broke in. I have a high end CMMG that has the pistol gas port. Had one hell of a time cycling. But just like they told me after about 65 - 75 rounds runs like a top. Good luck.

They do have a setting on the piston, 1-3 with two being the normal setting for genaral shooting. I tried all 3 settings and only setting 1 which is single action only setting worked like it shood have.

I heard piston guns were the fix all for everything...

Sorry to hear it. Although yours isnt the first Ruger AR I have heard being a lemon.
