Default Projector install.... In my 5th wheel trailer ;-)

Heres the long and short of it.... The better half and I are both movie buffs, and before our decision to go fulltime in the RV, we had a theater set up in our basement with our projector being about 30' from the screen, bringing us a good 12' diagonal screen to watch our movies on. We still have the projector, but since moving out of the house, we dont have the screen anymore, nor the room to put it. A couple weeks ago, i found the time to mock up where we wanted the unit and i turned it on to see what kind of picture it threw up at just a few feet away, and measuring it, it came to approx 72" diagonal. I purchased a screen on ebay, paid for it, and of course it was no longer available, so i got an upgrade to a 72"x72" which is bigger than i wanted, but we can still get around it when it is pulled down. I received the screen the other day, and got around to installing it. Here are the pics:

Next the projector, DVD player, sound system got installed. When we put the projector in, it was aiming too high, so we went to home depot and raided their trash for some scrap wood, found a 1x1x15" piece of wood, and coupled that with a slab of thin MDF to make a little ramp for the projector to tilt it forward so it would aim down more. The ramp will be mounted to the inside of the cabinet somehow, the DVD player will be secured to that ramp with some type of bracket, and the projector will probably get a few spots of double sided tape to keep it from sliding around. I mated the video with a 3 channel computer speaker system that i had laying around, and it works in a pinch, and doesnt sound too bad, so we will probably just keep it like it is for now, or at least till i figure what i want to do with my piece of junk concertone system. Here is some pics of the screen with video on it, and what the cabinet looks like that houses all of it.

As it looks normally.... aside from the power cord running down the right side..... looks normal eh?

Open it all up, and movie time!!!!!

The projector, DVD and one of the satellite speakers

The subwoofer hiding behind the middle peice of the cabinet.

I also got a black throw pillow to shove into the square roof vent in front so theres no glare on the screen from directly above, this also serves as a bit of insulation too, cuz i see they sell these types of things at camping world, although they are like $20+, and my throw pillow cost $6 B)
