Ahh... That makes sense. The risk is less over than under.

I too was thinking some fuel might spill out into the action from above. But a cook-off is probably a bigger risk.

Might be fun to watch at dusk drawn from an AR holster.

Crazy, 2" barrel. That the gas line extends farther than the barrel is just kinda nuts. I'd like to see the target though, and also would consider wearing gloves when shooting it!

~ 2.225 OAL, so was that the bullet I saw sticking out of the barrel?

Not understanding how it can even cycle with .25" of pressurized barrel if it's gas operated.

Almost looked like really light loads... not much recoil at all, and SBRs typically have a lot more recoil.

And yes, that is the bullet sticking out... which means the barrel is not REALLY 2". I can't imagine that thing can even consistently hit a target at 25 yards.

Barrel length measurement includes the chamber - dowel down the bore measured to the bolt face. So yeah, that's technically a 2" barrel, with about 1/4" of rifling engaging the bullet, if any. Any shorter, and I'm not sure it could even be considered a rifle, unless you rifled the chamber.

I understand the technically correct methodology of measuring barrel length, but the chamber certainly won't be stabilizing that bullet once it fires... Just seems like it belongs at Dragonman's or something.

I guess what I was trying to say, is WTF WAS HE THINKING??
