I am a terrible speller/reader and I look at it quick and it's looks find to me. I was always a little slow.
Roof top fire place anyone? I actually thought this was kind of cool. However, I'm not sure if a bunch of foot traffic, chairs, and hot sparks directly on top of my flat roof is something I'd look forward to.

I could see the foot traffic being a problem down the road, but having the burner up there wouldn't be any more concerning than in my living room. Odd setup nonetheless.
Is the flat area level? Looks sloped from that angle.

Except if a stray spark simmers on the floor in your living room floor for a bit before you catch it, it more than likely won't cause you issues every time it rains. I suppose the likely hood of a spark burning a hole all the way through that tar is pretty low, but still something of which I'd be wary. As far as the slope, I believe most flat roofs have a minor slope (like the way a gutter is sloped), but not much. Certainly less than 1/12 pitch.

I like it. Have seen several with EDPM rubber sheeting laid over flat roofs here, and a few have been loose decked with redwood or trex. Even white EDPM gets very hot here in summer, though a permanent canopy could make a nice patio area if you have safe access. Marshmallows, hot dogs and beer on the roof, an insurance guy's heaven. But, is the view worth it? Close neighbors and all....
