Default EOTech heading back to it's birthplace.

I've got a bunch of EOTechs, most of them the 512 variety. My 2006 vintage is now heading back to the factory for repair. I had reticle wash-out really bad at the range, and figured it was low battery. Replaced them, sighted it out in my basement, and everything looked fine. Back out in the bright sunlight, and the reticle was gone.

Called L3 about it, and learned something new. I knew they were charged with nitrogen, but I always figured that was for the anti-fogging feature. Turns out it can also effect the maximum brightness of the reticle. Mine may have sprung a leak, so it is off to the factory with about a Benjamin for repairs.

I am temporarily optic-less for my favorite SBR .

Math is tough. Let's go shopping!

I had an eotech with a reticle that started disappearing around the edges. It was way outside of warranty. I called L3 to ask a few questions about the issue and they asked me to send it in so they could take a look at it. I expected to have to pay for the repair but they fixed it free of charge and sent it right back to me. They replaced an optical part and refilled with nitrogen. Michael Kroll is who I dealt with michael.kroll@l-3com.com. Fantastic customer service.
