    They are not too smart sometimes. The food motivated ones are the worst. Years ago I came home to find one of the Dachshunds suddenly looking like a football.

    He had found the 1/2 gallon milk jug of Whoppers that someone had left out. They were all gone.

    Sorry to hear that. Our English Bulldog had the same issue - $1250 bill.

    The way the story started out I started to have flashbacks to a darker time in my life. Glad she's okay man. Cherish every moment because they're a precious few.

    Thanks to everyone for all the good thoughts. I'm hoping to bring her home today. I wish I knew how to keep a dog from eating stuff that shouldn't be eaten.

    Muzzle? We had 2 rotties that ate anything. Only sure fire way was to muzzle them. Too bad, as they were just fun loving pups, Eaters, but child protective.

    The newest addition, we (so far) have lucked out on, catahoula, cattle dog mix. Her speeds are either paws to the wall, or kicked back enjoying the day.

    Glad its ok.

    I have pet insurance and it can be a live saver. Spend the $25 a month. Its WORTH it.
