Fractions of a percent may well be the deciding margin in the so called "battleground" states. A few thousand votes may decide the election, due to the nature of the Electoral College.

Not that hard, nobody is denied the ability to vote. Hell I'd even be in favor of having the receipt waive all fees involved with getting an ID.

When I went and voted the other day and showed my I.D. I thanked the gal and told here I appreciated the fact that we do have to show I.D.
The chick behind me said we shouldn't have to but I told her that you have to to purchase liquor, tobacco, a firearm or even spray paint so what's the problem when it comes to choosing our elected officials.
She just stood there with a dumbfounded look.
All three election officials that over heard it just smiled.

In Ohio in 2004, an election that was closely studied as one with a supposedly high fraud rate, the rate was 0.00004%. 4 people out of 100,000.
