It's a fair payback for all the countries ex-pres Jiminy Carter polluted with his election monitoring. We're quite capable of screwing up our own elections without UN help.

Almost every group that exists to 'stop' something, must somehow propagate the thing they're trying to stop, otherwise they'll eventually 'go out of business'! What would all these organizations do if they had to close their doors because there was no more racism, poverty, hate, prejudice, etc.?

It's part of what we know as 'institutionalism': where an organization exists for its own purposes, no longer existing for its original intention!
