This guy is worth considering... Sounds like we may finally have a more conservative choice in the race. Note his views on gun ownership along with voting record. HE WILL LIKELY GET MY VOTE..

There's a lot of non-love for him in the arfcom AR hometown forum. He loves taxes.

Sure, he'd be better than Rudy McRomney, but I'll basically vote for any ticket that doesn't have Hillary or Obama on it at this point.

What can I say? I'm a Fred (or Tancredo or Hunter, all three know what 'fiscal responsibility' and RKBA' mean) guy, at least until the primaries are over.

He loves taxes, big government and illegals.

He as gov signed agreements with mexico, what I am pretty sure was against the Constitution.

I could barely bring myself to vote for FDT if he makes it, otherwise it will be third party for me.

I would rather vote for Duncan Hunter.

I suggest reading interviews, articles, and his web page before making all conclusions..

Taxes: read his plan for essentially doing away with the IRS!!! BRILLIANT! Usage taxes, now that makes sense. GREAT

Illegals: Number one, securing the border. That makes sense. Then come deportations for criminals etc. He OPPOSED the amnesty program, but supports a guest worker program to fill menial jobs. Properly executed, I think this could be good for America. His plans for the rest of the illegals... Here he apparently goes against most Americans. I have since read that as Governor he went against his state's majority opinion and formed one of the illegal havens we hear about. We already have a president trying to do that now, and worse. Still the least worst, despite this information, as far as I can tell. 1/2 GREAT, 1/2 SUCKS.

Marriage: Man and woman. I am sure most on this board would say "amen" to that. GREAT

Strength: All about reducing our dependence on foreign goods (which are deteriorating the strength of our great nation) by making our goods more competitive. 1/2 GREAT, 1/2 SO-SO (some global economy b.s.)

2ND AMMENDMENT. Not about hunting. Designed for Americans to be able to protect themselves (his words). He would veto an awb re-instatement! He is a long-standing and consistent proponent of gun rights. He asserts that states should not have any right to override the right to bear arms or infringe upon it. REALLY GREAT
