Ok then explain to me how do you solve a 16 trillion dollar debt ? Seriously. Explain it to me as I'm just missing out on how we are going to solve it.

It is more money than actually exists. It can never be paid off.

It's beginning to look a like like Greece, everywhere you go. Economic catastrophe, is fun for you and me, in the USA! <to the tune of "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"

Ok - so that means what ? If it can't be paid off then what. Default ? Deflation ? Rob everyone's 401K through inflation ?

Once again, how does "O" solve the problem of the deficit ?

The same way Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush did. Don't. Kick the can down the road.

But wasn't it blowjob Billy that gave us a huge surplus ? Or was he just cooking the numbers?

    Harry Reid:
With Washington facing potentially devastating tax hikes and spending cuts in less than two months, Reid said he was not in favor of punting until the next Congress by passing a short-term extension.
“I’m not for kicking the can down the road,” said Reid, who spoke with Obama Tuesday night. “I think we’ve done that far too much. I think we know what the issue is. We need to solve that issue. Waiting for a month, six weeks, six months, that’s not gonna solve the problem. We know what needs to be done. I think that we should just roll up our sleeves and get it done.”

Guess we'll see what awaits all of us...either way it's going to be brutal.

Don't you understand liberal logic? If something good happens while a D is in office it's their doing, if something bad happens it's the previous republican's fault.

If 50% of the folks being polled yesterday thought the economy was STILL Bush's fault then Bill Cliton cannot take credit for the economy that he says he fixed under his tenure. That economy then had to be leftover from the Reagan/Bush years... right?

Billy Boy and Newt were cooking the books. They borrowed against a phantom Social Security "trust fund" that never existed and counted that as income but didn't record any future debt to pay said "loan". Billy Boy also did things like sell off spectrum and assets -- one-time actions that can't be repeated -- but acted like that was annual income.

Obama is cooking the books even more by starting tax increases now to pay for benefits that don't start for 6 years and acting as if that's a sustainable reduction in the deficit.
