If I recall correctly, most of southern Colorado up to the Arkansas river was part of the Texas territory. If they secede and take their territory back, I don't even have to move. The original boundaries are far reaching.

How expensive is the land down in your part of the state?

Never work. Costal boundaries are vital for the success of a country. Segregating middle america from both coasts would inevitably result in a war with one or both costal countries and an envelopment in some fashion.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

Did you forget that Texas has about 300 miles of coastline?

You think TX would secede just to join another group of states? You know what's bigger and better to a Texan than Texas? Not a F'n thing...

You make a valid point, but I thought we were talking about Texas and OK, along with ND, SD, ID, WY and MT?

I bet if you told them Dallas or Austin could be the new capital they'd pretty much go for it.

If we booted the kommies from this state, brought the mormons with us, invade and boot the NAs from new mexico, and brought AZ with us, and then the middle of the country along with texas, we would be sitting pretty good. Little hope of nevada, though the Sierras make a nice defensive wall, as well as the northern rockies. Texas needs food, and will want the breadbasket to come with it. I would venture to guess half the military would refuse to assist stopping secession, the rest would come join us,lol.
