Watch out for dentists...........

No no this is not a rant about what was on TV the other day .. it's what happened to me this week !

Thursday - got a molar taken out at CU school of dentistry
Friday- was tired .. bit more then normal for a tooth pull ( I've had a couple pulled )
Saturday- still pretty tired and was starting to have a sore hard to open jaw..... figured it was just delayed swelling...
Sunday- got real bad could hardly open jaw.. major swelling..
Monday ( 2am) in to the ER I go was starting to have a hard time breathing swollen up like a beach ball on the left side of my face( same side I got the tooth pulled on)
I was at 50%+ obstructed airway at one point... Blood Oxygen saturation was down to 70% at one point too so into the ICU I went major doses of antibiotics and steroids to get me back to normal!

was there till tuesday evening.. then off to a normal room and they just kicked me lose an hour ago


Moral of the story?

make sure you get and take antibiotics when you get a tooth pulled!!!! ( I was offered none and never had before so I thought nothing of it.. I will next time tell ya that!)

THem " screwing up" is up for debate.. just to be fair ...

I've had teeth pulled before and was not told to take anti-biotics then so I didn't sweat it this time around

But if I ever get one pulled again .. I'll DEMAND them!

Iw as supposed to pick up a gun monday .. well hard to do when your in the ICU... guy has been nice enough to hold onto it for me.

I'll be sure to blow up his feedback post with praise when we complete the deal!!!
