He was scheduled to testify next week about what he knew and did with respect to the Benghazi attack. From what I have heard, this takes him off the hook. The administration says this resignation has nothing to do with Benghazi - is there anyone who actually believes this is the case? Waaaay too sudden (breaking yesterday) and timely to be a coincidence, in my opinion. Petraeus was going to spill the beans, and Beeho couldn't have that.

Woods and team was denied twice before they went in anyway without approval... finally got a GRS team after making three requests for immeadiate backup (where Doherty came in). QRF force in country was not mobilized till wayyy too late, the special operations units in the region were never spooled up, nor were any drones in the area redirected. Rumor has it there was even a Specter in range that wasn't called over. Now Gen Petraeus is relieved of command right before the hearing.
I'm no conspiracy theorist, but this smells funny.

I'm officially taking he line that it's a national disgrace that he can't keep a bangin' hot mistress (well, she's not a supermodel but the guy is like 68, lets keep that in mind) and his job.
