    Default Need bullet lube recipe

Does anybody have a good recipe for bullet lube for bullets traveling 750 to 1000 fps
I would like to have recipe with either car wax or powdered moly lube in it.
I have bees wax, paraffin, lithium grease, crisco, vegatable oil as components to draw from

The store bought stuff just isn't cuttin it. I am getting leading and need a softer lube.

    Try Cast Boolits: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/
Search "lube recipe" or something like that. I was looking for the same thing over the weekend and found a ton.

    Red Rooster or Lyman Orange.

Powder selection also has a lot to do with leading. Some powders burn pretty hot.

You getting leading all the way down the barrel? To me, that would indicate a problem with the lube (rare, IMHO). If it's just in the throat, I'd guess a sizing problem, or possibly an alloy problem (but I doubt it at 700 - 1000 fps).

I suppose it could be that as well. I forget not everyone shoots Unique.

I am getting leading just past the throat. My bullet is resized at .4525 and my barrel is .4528. So I know my barrel is not a perfect fit for my bullet. I am trying options. First trying lower BHN of 12 , Second commercial lubes are hard, I am going to try home made lube that is softer and will have better bore to bullet fit. Third option is to hone my resizing die which I don't have the equipment for that.. And Fourth is to buy another resizing die of .454
    FYI
The pistol is a SA 45acp with a clark barrel and compensator.
I am also trying to fine tune a load for the new hollow point bullet I just bought. Lots of fine tuning
