    Default SHTF! Now what?!

First off if this is in the wrong forum please move...

So in the SHTF situation, what kinds of extra parts should I have on board with me? Ar15, 10/22 and glock 20? I'd love to put Bert(bptactical) in my back pack but he's too heavy and stubborn. Also I'd love to buy the armorers kit from brownells, but that's another $600. So suggestions please!

For the AR, I would say a spare bolt, some gas rings, and maybe a firing pin. That should do it.

The Glock, I would say no spare parts are needed. Of course I have never personally put more than about 12,000 to 15,000 rounds through one.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the 10/22 platform.

I would invest about $60 bucks in a DPMS field repair kit for the AR. For the Glock maybe keep a XDm in reserve?

For the 10/22 I would not worry about any sort of spares other than some magazines. I have fired literally thousands of rounds through several of them and never had a malfunction that wasnt related to a mag, and have never had one break. If your the paranoid sort, maybe carry and extractor and firing pin..

I dont see a firing pin, extractor, cotter pin, etc. that would be useful. Springs are cool, but you need hard parts...
