The large Hispanic demographic has been intrinsic to Texas since it's inception and are well integrated with a long history and deep roots. Most of the Hispanics I knew growing up in Texas considered themselves Texans first, I don't recall significant racial tension between Whites & Hispanics. Obviously there is a sector that fly the Mexican flag, refuse to integrate and display distrust of other races though they are the minority in my experience.
Hung up? I wouldn't think so, given the makeup of my own relations. However, I would surmise that the folks who have signed the secession petitions to leave a country led by a Democratic president with a Democratically controlled Senate would be largely white, and might not be happy with the government that might result in a country with a non-white majority.
