LOL, here I am drinking again (at least it has been 2 days) and I figured this thread would have died after 4 posts. I still say hair metal was "metal" and it brought a lot of the other bands into the forefront not to mention the WOMEN. Now that's why we all like metal wasn't it, I know that's why I moved to Hollywood in 87', unfortunately (maybe not) they were too easy so there wasn't much reason to practice. I'm just glad that many people here remember the 80's; I've had Sirius set on 39 for the last 5 years... it's not that I can't let go of the past, there's just so much shitty music these days.

Now before I go comment on the new metal thread I'll leave you with this, if you liked any 80's metal you should see this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO4ZNO24Ye4

Notice I didn't say Black Sabbath, they were a bit before my time.

Now if Venom was your thing we're coming from compeletly different angles.
Mostly Metallica Pantera Ozzy and you cannot leave out Alice in Chains. I love the fact that they came out with a new album.

Rough Cutt, King Diamond and Racer X are a few of my obscure heavier bands on my iPod rotation.
