Intro to 3Gun

Provided the weather is decent, James and I will be teaching an Intro to 3Gun course on November 23rd at CRC. If you took the classroom intro earlier this year or have been wanting to get into 3Gun, this is a great opportunity. We won't be covering basic pistol skills except how they relate to 3Gun, so we will expect that you have shot some pistol competition and are fully aware of the safety and range commands. If you are unsure, please contact me.

We will run from 10am until about 4pm, $100* and we will limit this to 12 students. You should bring 20 slugs, 150 rounds of birdshot, 150 rounds of pistol and 200 rounds of rifle. If you don't have gear/guns, bring factory 9mm pistol ammo, factory 12 guage ammo and factory .223 ammo and you can borrow some guns.

• Abandonment/Transitions
• Shotgun skills: Loading techniques, aerials, slugs, patterns, chokes, ammo, etc.
• Rifle skills: short, medium and long range, ammo, zeros, holds
• Stage break-downs

*IF you are an experienced 3Gunner who wants to come out and practice, run a few drills and get a few pointers, you are more than welcome, but you must confirm with me ahead of time. Cost $30.

A little about us...James and I own CarbonArms and we manufacture several products for Tactical and competitive shooters. We designed the highly regarded TWinS loading systems that have revolutionized shotgun loading in 3Gun competition. We also have designed several products for firearms, one of which is in a current military trial. We work with major manufacturer's doing R&D and product development for various platforms as well. We are both very involved in the shooting sports and training with multiple certifications. We are respected competitors who compete at numerous national level majors each year. We also work major matches from RO to RM to MD each year and James is currently ranked in the top 10 overall on the 3Gun Natiion Pro Tour. However, and even more important, we both are skilled teachers who are able to evaluate and teach our students the what, why and how of the topcis.

Can you suggest to me or point out some local pistol events that would meet your previous pistol competition experience requirements. I would like to attend an introductory course such as this next time it is offered.

RE pistol match experience... Any of the USPSA, Steel Challenge (There is one at CRC on November 17th), or IDPA matches would suffice.
