I dont carry every mag I own.

    Mags break and wear out.

I dont know how many too many is. I could have a dumpster full and still wonder if I have enough.

This. I don't ever waste an opportunity to get a few more, if the price is right. It's like sex; never say no because if you do that's one less time in your life you'll ever get it.

I am debating adding a few more magazines to my kit. Reducing my pistol mags down to 2 mags and picking up and extra 2 or 3 Ar mags...bringing me to 6.

I'm rearranging my kit to make it work better for me.
I'm thinking of rearranging mine and carrying less mags on my kit. But I usually have a PRC-148 pouch, blow out kit, mag pouches, general purpose pouch, and an admin pouch. Then I carry some heavy-ass radio like a PRC-117F or G, spare batteries, gps, LRF, NVGs, IR pointer, etc. That stuff gets heavy quick.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

Ounces are killer man thats for sure. I'm pretty basic rig now, TYR GPC, Ceradyne ESAPI's, 3 AR, 3 Pistol, Blow Out Kit, Hydro, and Im debating getting a dump pouch for the range.

Right now I'm wondering "how many mags will I need for the rest of my life?" I don't like thinking about that.

I like having 14 mags per rifle, of course you need to prepare for having that extra rifle
