Default Re: How many Mags is enough?

Currently own 21 (30 rnd) mags. All polymer. BCL for 3 ARs. Haven't taken advantage of the Airlift yet. If I need more in the future maybe a road trip out of state is in order.

If SHTF and I've got to go dismounted I've got 1 loaded, 3 on the plate carrier + 3 in the pack. If mobility is not compromised, spare weapons, mags and ammo will be transported IAW vehicle load capacity, after my family and survival essentials are accounted for.

One thing to keep in mind, magazines do wear out. If you can't replace your standard-capacity magazines, that can become problematic...

When the rear springs on the pickup start to squat, that's probably enough.

Myself, I only have 31. All fully loaded, that's about all I'd want to try and carry in a bag. My rifle case has pouches for 6, plus one in the rifle. Sumbitch is heavy when your back is AFU.

Amount of Magazines you Need or Want?

Being an Older Person I may not need as many as the younger guy.
With that said, I do have a Son who I gave all my Firearms to & since Hitlerlooper made the High Caps. illegal after 7-1-13, I would encourage others to get as many as they can Financially afford..
    Reason is,
They will get harder & harder to purchase. Illegal or not.
I know it's a tough call for some of our members. The Higher Cost's of everything going up & the uncertainty of B.O', Health Care.
Under MagPul's Colorado Air-Lift you can purchase them at a reasonable cost & $5.00 to ship, they are loosing money on that part of the transaction.
    How Many,
it's your call & you are running out of Time?

    I have 8 Magpul 20LR mags and I don't yet own a .308

Obviously the .308 is on my with list, but by the time I can get the rifle, I may not be able to get the mags.

I'm getting 10 with the idea of using 5 for service and 5 in reserve.

Default How many High Cap Mags should some have per gun?

I would think a minumum of 10 per firearm, seeing how the Dems are... well you know.
