So, I needed a few target stands like the one in the link below.

Once I saw the price I knew I would probably be building my own. Picked up enough new metal for $40 to build eight of them like the one I was looking at. And I get to play with my welder.

They will if my welder isn't acting up. Last time I used it the wire feed was doing funny things. I think I just need to do some minor adjusting on it.

I'm even going to paint them when I'm done.

Probably try to get them together next week while I'm off.

I'll keep that in mind but I wouldn't hold me breath if I were you.

Im thinking about fabbing up some steel targets. I had some pretty thick plate laying around but think I used it up, so when I get a chance I am going to run over to C&M, pick up some plate, and spend some quality time with the plasma cutter and welder

I wish I had a plasma cutter. Those things are awesome.

Thanks, Jim. I think mine just needs minor adjument to the tensioner for the wire feed and maybe the tip needs a litte cleaning. Worst case, I can use the stick welder. But I hate stick welding.

I'd make a killing at $15 each. Unfortunately, I don't have time to be doing stuff like that for anyone other than myself.

If you guys want some targets or stands let me know, making 10 is as easy as making two or three if its planned out.

And yeah the plasma is nice, but since we build roll cages and other stuff we tend to be pretty tooled up for a variety of stuff...

I wouldn't mind some steel targets. Nothing fancy. I imagine mild steel would work fine for handgun rounds. Maybe just some simple circles cut out of 3/8" plate. Maybe 8" or 10" diameter. It would probably be after the holidays before I would be serious about it.

Maybe a few of us would be interested in some to make it worth your time.
